It was my first time to join the IRRI UPLB Dual meet, held this past weekend. I competed in the Fun Run even though I haven’t trained for some time… (it was more like a road sprint…. ) I finished 1st (individual), but overall, UPLB was beaten by IRRI due to the number of participants (by points). And then I joined the plank walk, this time, we managed to beat IRRI (yeba!). For the rest of the day, I took shots of the event, though mostly during the basketball games. It was quite hard to do sports photography, I think I need a lot more practice in this field.

All of the action shots were taken using manual settings, with experimentation for the first batch of pics (as you can see evident noise levels on the first set of basketball pics, less noise on the next set, wherein I changed the ISO setting). I’m pretty new to using manual settings on an SLR, although it was just like the manual mode of the Powershot A70 (point-and-shoot-cam).
